A Local authority are looking for a Qualified Social Worker to join their Disabled Children's Team

The Disabled Children's safeguarding and support team is co-located with multi agency partners. This means that they are able to provide a Holistic service to disabled children, young people and their families.

Their Children's Service is rated 'Good' by Ofsted but have drive and aspirations to continuously transform their service and work towards 'Outstanding', to ensure children receive a consistently good service every day.

Your responsibilities as a Qualified Social Worker in the Disabled Children's Team:

  • To provide statutory support to with children and families, which includes information and advice, assessment, support planning and safeguarding.
  • Comply with legal frameworks for social care in line with personalisation principles, which aim to put individuals, families and communities at the heart of care and wellbeing.
  • To contribute proactively to the effective working of the team with positive attitude, by sharing knowledge, offering advice and support and by preparedness to be involved in the development of services.

Requirements of you as a Qualified Social Worker in the Disabled Children's Team:

  • A recognised Social Work qualification (Degree/DipSW/CQSW)
  • A Social Work England registration
  • Post qualification experience in Children's Social Work
  • Must hold a full UK Driving Licence



Location: Swindon

Salary scale: up to £39,000 d.o.e + Car Allowance + Amazing Retention payments
