Salary: £23,000-£25,000 DOE
Job description:
Reporting into the Finance Manager, the assistant is to provide support in transactional elements of day-to-day managing, processing, and troubleshooting involved in producing accurate and timely financial information.
The role is intended provide ad-hoc support to the finance team & support monthly reporting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
This would suit a candidate who is a team player, has a can-do attitude, is willing to get stuck in and is adaptable and open to change with and when as business requirements are needed. An ability to handle, be comfortable & reliable with financial information will be expected, but the right attitude and aptitude to learn & support is more important than direct relevant experience in every area covered by role responsibilities. Key Responsibilities:
Weekly payroll
Bank reconciliations
Balance sheet reconciliations
Bookkeeping & data entry
Management of the sales invoices
Accounts receivable support in invoicing queries, cash collection and allocation Accounts payable support in invoice processing & payment runs Annual audit evidence support Revenue reconciliation and controls Accruals and prepayment preparation & posting Supporting & develop the finance apprentice Providing cover for the Accounts Manager where required General office duties What will you need to succeed?
Studying towards AAT or equivalent - or - relevant financial academic or work experience, with view to taking on study.
Strong knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles Strong academic record Proven & reliable technical skills High attention to detail Adaptable and open to change Approachable personality Curious and can-do mindset Strong organisational and interpersonal skills High level of integrity and confidentiality
