Here's the exciting bit…a day includes

You’ll be responsible for delivering the people strategy across our retail regions that cover London, the South East & East Anglia. You’ll also work closely with the regional leadership teams by supporting the delivery of the operational strategies through our people. The People Business Partner will also play a key role in delivering key people projects across the regions.

You’ll blend commercial and strategic thinking, excellent influencing ability and your solutions-based mindset to create and execute strategies that anticipate the future needs of the business linked to talent & leadership development, employee engagement, inclusion & diversity and reward.

This is a field-based role with a large geographical remit and therefore extensive travel will be a key aspect of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

To work in partnership with key stakeholders and the relevant internal departments to create and deliver people plans which align to the wider operational and Group People strategies, ensuring there is clear ownership and accountabilities.
Raise capability across the operational and store teams by ensuring there is a clear and consistent talent development, succession and engagement plans in place.
Proactively input to and support colleague & management induction, development, and training activity
To support the business in partnership with the central People Advice Team and operational leadership teams to ensure that all absence and ER related activity are dealt with in a professional and timely manner. Work with People Advice Team Manager to identify trends and take appropriate action where necessary.
To work with the internal talent team to ensure that Management vacancies are filled in line with the correct recruitment processes.
To work in partnership with the wider people team (Talent, People Development, Reward) to ensure that relevant projects and activities are successfully delivered within the business units e.g. pay review, performance reviews and talent reviews.
Proactively utilise all available data to identify trends and work with stakeholders to agree any appropriate interventions.
Keep up to date with external market and employment law trends and effectively communicate updates across the business units.

Person Specification

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced HR generalist to join a forward thinking and fast paced commercial business. The successful candidate will be commercially minded, and able to demonstrate strong strategic thinking, complimented with excellent organisational skills and the ability to be adapt and work effectively with a variety of situations where they prioritise workload, influence decisions and have strong relationships with a number of Stakeholders.

They will have a passion for getting the best outcome possible by being proactive, being curious and taking the initiative to identify where value can be added. This individual will need to be resilient, understanding with the ability to simplify problems and provide solutions.
