Locum Pharmacist - Hospital Outpatients

The dedicated Outpatient Dispensary at a leading local hospital is now looking for a Locum Pharmacist (GPhC-registered) to provide cover for the team and help maintain outstanding services for patients who have been recently discharged or who attend the hospital on an outpatient basis.

Blending clinical and community pharmacy to form its own unique speciality, the Outpatients Pharmacy sees many patients with a wide variety of healthcare needs; from recent attendees of A&E, to discharged patients continuing treatment at home, to people managing chronic or progressive conditions. In this dynamic and diverse environment, no two days are the same.

As a Locum Pharmacist within the Outpatient Dispensary, you will supplement the medication dispensing, counselling, and management services provided by the team, helping to maintain the consistently high levels of safety and efficiency that keeps pharmacy care patient-centred and effective.

This is a locum role to cover Tuesdays / Fridays (8.30am – 6pm). Pharmacists of a community, hospital, or primary care pharmacy background are very welcome to apply.

Person specification:

You must have current registration with the GPhC as a Pharmacist.

You must have a least 2 years’ post-registration experience; this could be in a community, hospital, or primary care pharmacy setting.
