Are you an Account Handler with good commercial experience, holding the desire to become an Account Executive? If so, a brilliant new opportunity has come to market with one of our broker clients in Stockport.

THE ROLE:

Our client, a friendly local brokerage in Stockport, are looking for an ambitious Account Handler with proven commercial knowledge and experience to join the business serving as a Commercial Account Handler and Account Executive.

You will have responsibility for your own book of good SME level clients and will primarily operate as a desk based Account Executive, however you will be given the opportunity to go out and meet with clients if desired and when required.

Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Broking SME level cross-class commercial business.
  • Managing clients throughout the broking process, developing and maintaining fantastic working relationships with everyone in your book.
  • Dealing with renewals and mid-term adjustments.
  • Negotiating with insurers to ensure the best level of cover at the best rate is provided to meet insurance needs.
  • Developing your book through acting on and converting 'warm' new business leads.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Proven broking experience as Commercial Account Handler is essential, with good knowledge across a range of commercial insurance products.
  • Excellent communication skills is crucial for your success in this role, along with a good personality and ability to develop good relationships with clients.
  • The ability to tailor your approach to each individual client to ensure an outstanding all-round experience and service is delivered to everyone.
  • Able to dig, question and probe where necessary to get all information required.
  • The ambition, hunger and desire to learn and develop.
